At the St Aldhelm Lodge meeting on Tuesday 2nd September 36 brethren, amongst them the PrGM R W Bro Martin Brown, witnessed a new joining member, Bro R M Hodgson PPrGOrg, and an advancee, Bro C J Robertson.  At the after proceedings the raffle raised the grand total of £190 to be donated to the Malmesbury Branch of Parkinsons' UK.

Media Publicity was given earlier in the year to the 'discovery' of a "Tablet" back I believe in the 60's with Cuneiform writings, which claims to "prove" Noah's Ark was in fact a "Coracle"

Autumn Sunday Lunch


At the November Installation meeting 30 members and 28 visitors, including the Provincial Grand Master RW Bro A M J Brown, saw Bro Robin Walker installed. At the after proceedings the princely sum of £295 was raised for the Malmesbury Branch of Parkinson's UK.

Phew is it all over or has it just begun I should like to thank Martin and all the provincial team for attending our installation night on 4th of November. I was very pleased to install W Bro Robin Walker in the chair of Adnonirum. The ritual took a bit of learning but all's well that ends well. We had many guests from across the province and beyond. 56 of us in total. We look forward to the new year Mark Masonic year with three candidates in the starting blocks already. Hope to be able to get the WM to do a tour of the province this year to see some advancements and installations. Look forward to seeing you all, invitations would be welcome.

Thursday evening, 11th December the Provincial Grand Master, attended by  V.W. Bro. John Bell and W.Bro. Robin Haines (Provincial Charity Steward), visited the Hop, Skip and Jump centre at Unit 21/22 The Arcade in The Brunel Centre, Swindon.

At the regular meeting of the Wiltshire Keystone Lodge No. 178 on 12th December 2014 a new Lodge Banner was dedicated by the Provincial Grand Master assisted by members of the Provincial Team.

59 Brethren and their ladies sat down to a very enjoyable meal and talk amongst themselves, this was most encouraging as the largest number for some time. As well as Active Officers, those that had assisted during the year were invited.

On Tuesday 3rd February 2015 the Provincial Grand Master for Wiltshire R. W. Bro. Martin J. Brown accompanied by the complete Provincial team, paid a Formal visit to Chaloner Lodge No. 559

The Provincial Grand Master has been pleased to make the following Promotions and Appointments for the Province of Wiltshire.  He will invest them at the Provincial Grand Lodge meeting to be held on the 18th June 2015 in the Melksham Assembly Hall.   All members of the Province are invited to attend to support those so honoured and to enjoy their day with them commencing with Luncheon at 12.35 followed by the meeting at 14.45.

At a regular meeting of Warminster Lodge No. 1110 on Tuesday 10th March 2015 the Lodge was pleased to receive the Deputy Provincial Grand Master W.Bro. Andy P. Beaumont PAGDC who presented a Grand Patron Gold Award certificate, together with the appropriate collar and jewel.

V. W.Bro John Bell had the pleasure of presenting two awards at a regular meeting of Border Lodge.

A Mark Benevolent Fund collaret was presented to Worshipful Brother Allan Gardener and a 'Grand Patron Gold Award Lodge'. Was given to the Lodge, this was received by the Worshipful Master  on behalf of the Lodge.

On Saturday 26th April a skittles competition took place at the Fox and Hounds public house in Warminster.  It was organised by the Worshipful Master of Warminster Lodge of Mark Master Masons W.Bro Bob Chalmers in aid of the National Osteoporosis Society.

St Aldhelm Lodge No 1531 presented a cheque for £500 from the brethren of the Lodge in support of the 2017 Festival for the Masonic Samaritan In addition a charitable contribution was made to a local Swindon charity - Uplands Educational Trust.

19 members of the Province attended Grand Lodge at Freemasons Hall, Great Queen Street London on Tuesday 9th June 2015, 2 more than last year but not matching the record of 25 two years ago. Again the Grand Temple and two others were full to capacity.

Eight Mark golfers attended the Somerset Mark Golf Day on Friday 19th June 2015 at Orchardleigh GC. Frome. It was a great day that was played in good masonic form on a beautiful sunny afternoon. John Boland our WMG Captain won the individual prize with a magnificent score of 39 points.

The 123rd. Provincial Grand Lodge was held at The Assembly Rooms, Melksham on Thursday 18th June 2015. It was the usual hot and sunny day.

The day’s events started with lunch in one half of the Assembly Hall. A total of 118 Brethren, which included honored guests, visitors and Brethren of the Province.

On 27th July  V.W. Bro. “Wally” Simmons will celebrate his 102nd Birthday.
